Related Hate Crime

Although the case of Matthew Shepard's death is debatable as to whether or not it was fueled by hate, it is clear that some cases have no question of that matter. The incident that shares the namesake of the hate crime act with Matthew Shepard, the James Byrd Jr. murder was with out a doubt a hate crime. It is bone chilling to hear about the horrifying things that were done to James Byrd Jr. and disgusting that they were done solely because of the color of this man's skin.
