When hearing about the memoir Eleven Rings by Phil Jackson is is evident that this man was very devoted to and passionate about his career. He writes his memoir about his experiences being a coach, and a successful one at that. It is amazing that he won more championships that any other coach in professional sports. It is also clear that he is a very respectable man because he was able to be a succesful coach while staying true to his values and his coaching styles which make him unique. Memoirs such as Eleven Rings are interesting to read or hear about becasue they give inspiration.
Memoirs such as The Color of Water by James McBride are very interesting to learn about. The United States has come such a long way in terms of racial equality and to read or learn about an autobiography written by a man living in the time of racial movement who happens to have a white mother is unique and interesting. It is inspiring to hear of a white jewish woman marrying a black man in 1940's and this book seemed to capture how hard that must have been and also how the children of this couple find themselves. Memoirs have an amazing ability to inspire and The Color of Water seems interesting and inspiring.
