The Apache tribe is originally from southwest United States, particularly Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Today there are approximately 30,000 Apache tribe members living in Arizona, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. There are two Apache languages, West Apache and East Apache, both are very difficult to master because of the various dialects. The tribe is known for being brave and powerful warriors.
One famous Apache leader was Geronimo. His name means "One who yawns". He led the fights against Mexico and the United States for their invasion and expansion onto Apache territory.
Arapaho Tribe
The Arapaho tribe were really spread out but became even more so when the obtained horses. However, they primarily settled in Colorado and Wyoming. They got along with the Cheyenne people. There were two bands of the tribe, the Northern and the Southern. But all shared like customs.
One of the most famous and note-worthy Arapahos was the leader Little Raven. He negotiated peace between the southern Arapaho and several tribes. His other great accomplish was securing land rights for the tribe.
